The QX-2 MKII is a 2-way Standmount loudspeaker with a 6.5″ (165mm) bass driver and ring dome treble unit.
As per all Mission speaker concepts, the process of listening, listening and more listening is the key to improvement. With the added benefit of modern speaker design tools, such as computer-aided optimisation technology, crossover modeling, and laser interferometry, Mission engineers also spent much time fine tuning the crossovers, components, materials, and construction.
Much like the now-established and equally class-leading Mission LX MKII series, the QX MKII series takes an already phenomenal loudspeaker solution but refines it, optimises it, and brings even more vibrancy, finesse, and class, through a process of evolution, not revolution.
QX MKII’s Incredible Drivers
The drivers have been updated and are made of acrylic fibre cone material specifically chosen to optimise this models performance. With Mission DiaDrive System, the material enhances the mids, resulting in excellent, natural audio.
Aluminium Top Plate and Updated Aesthetic
The Mission QX-MKII is sleek and stylish while providing a sturdy construction with the use of aluminium material.
Improved Ring Dome Centre with Phase Plug
The ring dome centre has been improved with the addition of a unique and outwardly visible phase plug. The phase plug in the QX-2 MK II allows expanded high-frequency reproduction VIA reducing cancellation within the centre axis of HF waves created near to the diaphragm's centre. This technology ensures distortion is reduced and improves the detail and frequency behaviour in the 10kHz to 20kHz frequency bandwidth.
