Arcam AVA35 Dolby Atmos and DTS X AV Amplifier

Arcam AVA35 Dolby Atmos & DTS:X AV Amplifier

The Arcam AVA35 AV Amplifier is engineered for serious home cinema enthusiasts who want powerful, detailed and highly immersive sound. Combining Arcam's advanced Class G amplification with extensive surround processing, Dirac Live room correction and next-generation HDMI connectivity, the AVA35 is designed to form the heart of a high-performance home cinema and hi-fi system.

High-powered performance with Class G amplification

Delivering 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms with all channels driven, the AVA35 has the power and control required for demanding home cinema installations. Its substantial output allows soundtracks to retain their dynamics during explosive action sequences, while music benefits from greater scale and authority.

At the heart of the amplifier is Arcam's Class G technology. The initial portion of the amplifier's output operates in Class A, helping deliver smooth, detailed and natural sound at everyday listening levels. When additional power is required, the amplifier seamlessly moves into a more efficient operating mode, providing greater headroom without the inefficiency associated with running a conventional Class A amplifier at high output.

Flexible 9-channel speaker configurations

With nine powered channels, the AVA35 can accommodate a range of home cinema layouts. Create a 5.1.4 or 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos system depending on the number and position of your surround and overhead speakers.

The amplifier can also be configured for alternative applications, including powering speakers in another room or bi-amping compatible main speakers. This flexibility makes the AVA35 suitable for systems that may evolve over time.

16-channel processing for advanced cinema systems

For enthusiasts building an expansive home cinema, the AVA35 provides processing for up to 16 channels. Adding external power amplifiers allows the system to move beyond the nine internal amplifier channels and support immersive configurations of up to 9.1.6.

This provides the foundation for sophisticated multi-speaker installations designed to reproduce sound from around, above and behind the listening position. Arcam power amplifiers can be added for a cohesive system and additional amplification capacity.

Advanced Dirac Live room correction

Getting the best possible performance from a home cinema system isn't only about the amplifier and speakers. Room acoustics can significantly influence the final sound. The AVA35 incorporates Dirac Live Room Correction to help optimise its performance for your particular listening environment.

Using a compatible microphone and Dirac software, measurements can be taken from multiple listening positions. The resulting acoustic profile allows the AVA35 to apply correction tailored to the room.

For those looking for further control, optional Dirac Live Bass Control and Dirac Live Active Room Treatment upgrades are available separately.

Immersive Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced and Auro-3D

The AVA35 supports a comprehensive selection of modern surround formats. Dolby Atmos and DTS:X deliver object-based three-dimensional audio, allowing compatible soundtracks to position effects around and above the listener.

Additional support for Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization, DTS Virtual:X, IMAX Enhanced and Auro-3D gives you greater flexibility when building your surround system. Virtualisation technologies can also create a sense of height when dedicated overhead speakers aren't practical.

8K HDMI and advanced gaming connectivity

The AVA35 is equipped with seven HDMI inputs and three HDMI outputs, providing plenty of connections for modern entertainment sources.

Its HDMI 2.1a connectivity supports 8K pass-through and advanced video formats including HDR10, HDR10+, HDR10+ Gaming, HLG and Dolby Vision. HDMI eARC provides a high-quality connection between the amplifier and compatible television.

Gamers can benefit from features such as 4K/120Hz pass-through, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). These technologies are designed to provide smoother motion, reduce screen tearing and minimise latency between a gaming source and display.

Three HDMI outputs with independent Zone 2

The three HDMI outputs add considerable flexibility to a multi-display setup. Two outputs can be used within the primary room, allowing simultaneous connection of equipment such as a television and projector.

The independent third HDMI output can be used for a second zone, allowing compatible audio and video equipment to be connected in another room.

Stream music your way

The AVA35 isn't limited to home cinema. Built-in Wi-Fi provides access to a wide range of network and streaming features, while Apple AirPlay 2 and Google Cast make wireless playback from compatible devices simple.

Music services including Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and Qobuz Connect can be accessed directly using their dedicated apps. The Arcam Radia app provides additional control, including access to Internet radio and podcasts, while UPnP support enables playback of compatible music stored across your home network.

Bluetooth 5.4, Snapdragon Sound and Auracast

For convenient wireless listening, the AVA35 features Bluetooth 5.4 with Snapdragon Sound and Auracast compatibility. Compatible smartphones, tablets and computers can stream audio wirelessly, while Auracast provides additional possibilities for connecting supported headphones and speakers.

Premium Radia design and intuitive control

The AVA35 combines its advanced internal technology with the refined appearance of Arcam's Radia series. Its aluminium construction, minimalist controls and subtle illumination give the amplifier a sophisticated appearance suited to premium entertainment systems.

A supplied Bluetooth remote control allows convenient operation without requiring direct line-of-sight. The large, high-resolution colour display provides clear information about the selected source, playback and amplifier settings.

Built for serious home cinema and music

With substantial amplification, extensive 16-channel processing, advanced room correction and support for the latest video standards, the Arcam AVA35 Dolby Atmos and DTS:X AV Amplifier is designed for demanding home cinema systems.

From high-impact film soundtracks and immersive gaming to detailed stereo music playback, its combination of Class G amplification, flexible connectivity and advanced surround processing makes it a versatile centrepiece for a premium entertainment setup.
